Make your boating wishes come true!

If you are interested in power boats and boating but have never had the chance to drive or even ride on one, then now’s your chance to make your dreams of sailing a boat real.

If you are 12 or over and would like to be given the chance to drive and ride in a power boat then now is your chance to sign up to do a course. There are two levels to the course and they can be done at different times, as long as you don’t leave it too long after you have done your level 1 to come back and do your level 2 as you may have forgotten what to do!

With the powerboat level 2 you are given the chance to put all of what you have learnt from your level 1 into action. By driving and controlling a powerboat independently with instructors watching over you to ensure you do it all correctly, essentially it’s set up like a car driving test.

There are many online sites that run courses on power boating, so if you want to learn to drive and manage a boat independently, then get online and search the many different sites that offer powerboat level 1 and powerboat level 2 courses.

The levels offer the basic health and safety skills, handling skills and teach people above the age of 12 how to drive and control a full sized powerboat. A level two course includes turning in a confined space, mooring, towing, coming alongside pontoons and more of the basics needed to learn about how to drive and control a boat.

If the child doing the course is under the age of 16 then there will have to be an adult supervisor at all times, and if they want to drive a boat at any other time then the same adult must be with them when they do so.
